Yes. It was very bumpy for little Morgan. Poor girl was a wobbling accident this weekend.
Friday night she went to bed at her normal time but she still woke up at 4 a.m. for some reason. Probably because she gets used to whenever JC leaves for work I walk into her room and cover her back up with her blankie... and on the weekends I do not. I guess I'm going to be setting an alarm for 3 a.m. and sleep walking in to cover her up and going back to bed. Not such a bad idea... since then she'll sleep to about 7 a.m. probably and I'll still be getting much more sleep that way. I look forward to the day that she can grab and cover herself with her blankie. Right now her efforts only lead to her laying on top of it.
Once I realized that we were up for the day I decided to get some things done.. like loading the dishwasher and doing some laundry. Well, while I hurriedly finished throwing the last couple of items into the dishwasher Morgan decided to chew on the lid of an empty gallon jug of water. I paused, thinking it wasn't her brightest choice of toys... but decided it wouldn't hurt anything for just one second while I put the detergent in the dishwasher and it'd keep her occupied while I did such. Well, in that one second she managed to gnaw on the lid... then stand up with it and try to wobble over to show it to me and fall on it. Her falling was no surprise... the blood flowing from the tip of her nose was a huge surprise though. Apparently, she landed just right on the jug to hit her nose on the chewed up lid and cut her little nose. Ahh. How do these things happen? I don't think I could do that on purpose. It looks so pitiful and I feel just awful about it. However, she's already over it. Haha.
Later in the day we went to watch Austin play T-Ball and those kids were so cute out there. Austin has become a great little T-Ball player. He played another great game and it was really enjoyable except it was pretty hot outside. Morgan seemed to enjoy it for the most part. She had fun watching everyone play and then she had a realization. Dirt is edible... sort of. Yes, it became a constant battle to keep her from sitting herself down on the concrete and trying to feast on the dirt the kids shoes had tracked up. Then it went down hill for our precious angel. I was sitting in one of the soccer mom chairs (I don't know the proper name for these, sorry) with the bag draped behind it. Perfectly normal thing to be doing at a T-Ball game... and perfectly safe too... I thought. I was wrong. Morgan was wobbling around my chair and went to catch herself from falling and she grabbed the bag instead of the chair and it of course did not hold her up and she hit her forehead on the chair leg. It left a big bruise and she was so sad. Our little wobbly girl is just a danger to herself. It wasn't bad enough that she has this gash on her nose but now she has the cut and a knot on her forehead. She is a pitiful sight!
We're crossing our fingers that she learns to walk better quickly or we may have to buy her a helmet! HaHa. The scary thing is they make those things and apparently people buy them. (if you're one of those people I apologize in advance)
